| - After winning the Boulder Badge from Brock, Tyler and his crew left Pewter City and found their way to Mt. Moon, a mountain which served as a route from Pewter City to Cerulean City where Tyler’s next gym battle awaited. “So this is Mt. Moon.” Tyler stated looking at the entrance of a cave before him. “Yes.” Leira replied. “We can’t climb the mountain though, you have to cross through it’s caves.” she explained. Tyler looked at the mountain for a minute then smiled, pumping his fist in the air in excitement. “There’s probably some cool Pokemon waiting inside!” Tyler screeched. “More than you think.” A random voice interjected, Tyler turned his head to see a boy who looked to a few years older than he was wearing a polo shirt and black pants along with a pair classes, obviously a nerd. “Who are you?” Electra suddenly asked. “I am Dennis and I am a scientist.” The boy, Dennis replied. “I’ve been searching through this mountain for months looking for rare Pokemon, I’m need of some help and a group of Pokemon Trainers appear to be sufficient enough.” Dennis informed the group. “Rare Pokemon.” Tyler questioned, rubbing his chin. “Count me in!” He exclaimed, it was clear that he was in a better mood than usual, more than likely because of his recent win at the Pewter City Gym. “Excellent.” Dennis said, crossing his arms, walking ahead of the group and into the entrance of Mt. Moon. “Tyler.” Leira spoke up, patting Tyler on his shoulder. “Do you think we can trust this guy? What if we are jumping into something that’ll just waste our time?” Leira questioned Tyler. “Don’t worry Leira-Chan, if he was looking by himself for the rare Pokemon then of course he wouldn’t find them, with all of us helping we will surely find something.” Tyler answered, smiling brightly. “He has gotten a full head ever since he won that badge.” Electra commented. The group then walked into the cave after Dennis, beginning their journey into Mt. Moon. A few seconds after Tyler and his friends departed into Mt. Moon, a familiar face appeared. “So the snob and his crew are looking for rare Pokemon.” Tommy snickered as he walked up to the cave’s entrance. “Well of course I’ll be the one to find those Pokemon first.” Tommy then rushed into the cave, chuckling as he went along. Meanwhile inside of the cave, Tyler along with Leira, Electra, and Dennis were journeying through the caves of Mt. Moon. As the group walked, they noticed in the distance something rather peculiar was occurring. A man in a black uniform with a red “R” printed on his chest appeared to be taunting a Pokemon, the Pokemon in question was a tan mouse. “What Pokemon is that?” Tyler questioned himself, pulling out his Pokedex. “Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokemon. Sandshrew hates moisture and lives in holes that it digs in dry places, it is known to protect itself by curling into a ball.” “That man appears to be assaulting that poor creature, we must act!” Dennis growled, drawing the attention of the man. “What are you shrimps doing here!” The man snarled, Electra’s eyes widened in shock at the sight of the man. “I recognize that uniform, he’s a member of Team Rocket.” Electra confirmed. “Team Rocket?” Leira questioned. “You mean you don’t know about Team Rocket, the infamous criminal organization known for crimes against Pokemon?” Dennis asked, a concerned look on his face. “Have you been isolated in a boring little town for all of your life?” Dennis continued. “Yes.” Tyler spat, speaking in Leira’s defense. “I’ll take this Sandshrew and take your Pokemon too!” The man, a Team Rocket grunt, said. The grunt threw three Pokeballs on the ground, exploding out of the capsules in a flash of light were three Pokemon. One was a blue bat-like creature, the other was a large tan rodent, while the last was a small purple and white rodent. “Zubat! Raticate! Rattata, get them!” The Team Rocket grunt commanded his Pokemon. Each of the three Pokemon jumped at Tyler and his friends. “I choose you!” Dennis shouted, throwing a Pokeball of his own to the ground. Exploding from Dennis’ Pokeball was a small rhinoceros-like Pokemon. “What Pokemon is that?” Leira asked, pulling out her own Pokedex. “Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokemon. It is known to be very strong physically because of it’s rock hard body.” “Rhyhorn use Horn Attack.” Dennis ordered his Pokemon. Dennis’ Rhyhorn then charged towards the three oncoming Pokemon, knocking them all back with it’s powerful horn. The grunt’s three Pokemon fell to his feet, hitting the ground with a collided thud. “Dang it, you’ll pay for this!” The grunt screamed, returning his Pokemon to their Pokeballs and fleeing the scene. “Wow Dennis that was amazing!” Electra exclaimed, complementing Dennis on his Rhyhorn. “It was nothing.” Dennis replied, calmly recalling his Rhyhorn back into it’s Pokeball. The Sandshrew that the grunt had been abusing, remained on the scene, curled up in a ball in fear. “Don’t worry little guy, it will be alright.” Leira said to the Pokemon, attempting to console it. The Sandshrew slowly came out of it’s ball, now sitting on the ground appearing to bruised and battered. Without a second thought, Tyler grabbed an empty Pokeball and tossed it at the Sandshrew. Within a matter of seconds, the Pokeball let out a loud ‘dong’, Tyler had captured the tired out Sandshrew. “The Pokemon was too hurt to survive so I decided to capture it and get it some help once we get out of this cave.” Tyler informed the group. “Cheerio, we can get moving then.” Dennis said, with that, the group continued their journey through the cave. Tommy was wandering aimlessly through the caves of Mt. Moon, not a clue on where Tyler and his friends where at. As Tyler walked, something or rather someone ran into him, he hit the ground, dazed and ultimately confused. “Watch where your going!” Tommy scowled, brushing dirt off of his clothing. Tommy sat up off the ground, up to the person that had ran into him and within a instant, a look of surprise spread across his face. “Congratulations kid, you have the honor of getting your Pokemon stolen by me today.” The Team Rocket grunt snickered.
