- Ilan Ramon was an Israeli astronaut in NASA's Space Shuttle program. He was a crewmember on STS-107. In 2143, the assignment patch for this mission was on display in the 602 Club. This patch bore the astronaut's last name and the flag of Israel. (ENT: "First Flight")
(ENT: "First Flight")
- Ilan Ramon was a Starfleet officer during the Dominion War. In 2375, Ramon was stationed aboard the USS Columbia when it was stuck in the powerless Starbase 1 after the Breen attack. He was in control of the phasers that cut the spacedock doors, freeing the Columbia. (TNG short story: "Eleven Hours Out") Ramon was presumably named after Israeli astronaut, Ilan Ramon, who died aboard the space shuttle Columbia in 2003, and for whom the USS Ilan Ramon was named.
