Thomas and Percy is shunting slate trucks at the quarry with Mavis when he sees Percy steam by with the mail trucks, so he decides to help him. He chuffs up to himand asks if he needs help, but Percy says he dosen't want help and steams away Percy asks him And that evening Thomas and Percy told the others about it. The next day, Percy was ready to deliver the mail. He woke up Thomas and Percy they both chuffed happily to the post office.

Belle was there shunting trucks. Thomas spots Percy coming and blows his whistle which surprises Belle and she biffs the trucks hard. Percy and Thoms get covered in soot, but Percy still says no. Thomas follows him again towards Maithwaite. Stafford was picking up tar wagons. Percy delivered some of the mail. Percy shouted Boo. But Percy wasn't happy but it scared Stafford he bashed the tar wagons so hard they broke open. Tar went everywhere, but Stafford found it funny but Percy didn't. He puffed to the docks which was his last stop. Thomas went with him. Thomas was hiding behind some large trucks. Percy asked Cranky to unload the last bags of mail. Thomas blow his whistle the loudest ever! Cranky was surprised he dropped the bags and the mail trucks toppled off the track. Percy was very cross with Thomas and Percy was about to puff away but he had ran out of coal. Percy wanted Thomas to help this time. Percy went to find Rocky. He found him with Toby. Toby agreed to help too. They put the mail trucks back on the rails and Belle arrived with coal for Percy. The Fat Controller arrived and he was very pleased to see all the mail delivered. Percy felt sorry for not letting Thomas help. And from now on they would deliver the mail together as best friends. And that evening Thomas and Percy told the others about it. The next day, Percy was ready to deliver the mail. He woke up Thomas and Percy they both chuffed happily to the post office.
