His brother, Birrt, doesn't understand what has happened due to learning disabilities he has suffered from from birth. While John is talking with Kirrt's parents, Birrt steals Kirrt's body and smashes open his casket and then grieves the loss of his brother after he realizes what really happened. Later, John engraves Kirrt's headstone.
