Stand-Off Between Gibbs and Bradley Simek is an incident that occurred in April 2015 where on a bus in downtown D.C., NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs attempted to talk to teenager Bradley Simek who was also a member of the terrorist group, the Calling. Despite Gibbs's efforts to get Simek to surrender peacefully, he ultimately failed as Simek chose to commit suicide seconds later by detonating a bomb that he was carrying with the resulting explosion not only killing Simek and destroying the inside of the bus but leaving Gibbs injured as well.
