Langepas (Finn. Langeppas) is a Uralican city in Yugra county, situated on Highway UH-1, about 15 km north of the north bank of the Ob River, and between Surgut and Megion. Like many settlements in the area, oil and gas extraction were the initial purpose of the town, however the economy has shifted focus since the discovery of large quantities of silver and silver ores in the area, making it a particularly rich town. Granted, mining and argentous metallurgy aren't the only industries in the town. There is also a thriving aggregate quarry nearby, plus the construction of heavy machinery, the production of hi-tech consumer goods, household appliances and furniture, and even food production go on in the city.
