- Lieutenant Junior Grade Jenna D'Sora was a security systems specialist aboard the USS Enterprise-D in the 2360s. She began her service aboard the ship as an ensign. Her quarters were located on Deck 8, Room 0522. In late-2367, D'Sora found herself in love with Lieutenant Commander Data. The two officers worked together, and they shared an interest in music, both performing in a woodwind quintet concert in Ten Forward, along with Keiko O'Brien and two other musicians. D'Sora played the flute in the concert. After she kissed him on the lips, Data asked his friends for advice on what to do, and decided to pursue the relationship. As D'Sora was a member of his security staff, Worf respectfully but directly told Data that he would be "displeased" if she were mistreated. Since he had no real emotions or feelings, Data created a special program to guide him through the intricacies of love. However, as his relationship with Jenna progressed, Data discovered that in romance, the logical course is not always the most appropriate. Soon after, they decided to end their relationship. D'Sora explained that her previous boyfriend, Jeff Arton, had been unemotional, and felt that her choice of Data, an android completely incapable of emotion, indicated a pattern. Without a second thought, Data, seeing the validity of her point, agreed to discontinue and delete his special program. (TNG: "In Theory" ) Jenna D'Sora was played by actress Michele Scarabelli. Data's comment to the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact regarding how long it had been since he had last made use of his sexual functionality would seem to indicate he was referring to his liaison with Tasha Yar. This would indicate that Jenna and Data were never physically intimate during the course of their relationship. The label to her quarters identified her as Ensign Jenna D'Sora. Her quarters were located on Deck 8, which according to the MSD, was the location of the enlisted officers quarters. According to the script, her serial number began with "CL 10928" [1]
