Everyone Makes Mistakes is a 1983 Sesame Street storybook featuring Big Bird. Big Bird, who isn't watching where he's going, accidentally walks into Susan's clothesline. After knocking the laundry all over the ground, Big Bird is worried about how angry Susan might get, and attempts to think up several lies to use, such as a flock of geese knocking it down, Biff and Sully driving their crane into it, a runaway giraffe getting tangled up in it, bicyclists pulling it down, the fire department accidentally running it over, Alphabet Bates landing on it, the circus using it to practice, a rodeo running through the yard and a tornado wreaking havoc, but soon they begin to get mixed up, and Big Bird winds up telling Susan the truth. She immediately forgives Big Bird for the incident.
