He first appears when Norman Osborn's scientists tell him there are two individuals with arachnid DNA (Scorpion and Spider-Man). Osborn orders his Spider-Robots to pursue Scorpion. Scorpion is introduced running from the Spider-Bots, where he temporarily loses them, but they regain the chase. While running, Scorpion runs into Spider-Man. Panicked and desperate, Spider-Man is forced to help Scorpion. However, after defeating all the Spider-Bots, a still desperate Scorpion turns on Spider-Man, and attacks him. Spider-Man manages to defeat Scorpion, but Scorpion gets away.
