The Battle of Uppsala was a battle fought in September of 1942 south of and around the French Scandinavian city of Uppsala, north of Stockholm, which had fallen a few weeks earlier. With remnants of the Danish Army and the French Scandinavian divisions of the Grand Army holding out, the victory there for the European Alliance marked the conclusion of 1942's Scandinavian Campaign. With the victory, the Allies could move supplies from Russia through Scandinavia safely as a basing ground for attacks against the Low Countries and to safely reinforce the existing divisions in Germany.
