HistoryText
| - One of the superhuman children bred by Dr. Peyne, Jenny Ridgeway joined the superhero team Cloud 9 as White Heat and protected Britain throughout the 1960s. Along the way, she married her teammate Doctor Beat and gave birth to a son, Robert McDowell, after discovering that Peyne's claims that his superhuman creations were all sterile were a deception by the government, who had been secretly giving them birth control drugs.
White Heat was eventually murdered by telepathic CIA assassins who also almost killed and horrifically injured her husband while they were out for a drive, a victim of human fear of the unknown. After her death, Dr Peyne reclaimed her body and kept her costume and her eyes, using her DNA to create a clone called Blaze.
