After East Lancs went into administration in August 2007, the business was bought by the Darwen Group and North West Bus and Coach Repairs was renamed to Darwen North West. In early 2008, as part of Darwen's reverse takeover of Optare, Darwen North West was sold to a local Blackburn investor.
