abstract	Vytto Korlioan was born Vytto Astolfi in the town of Korlioan, Tatooine. The village was ruled by a Quarren known only as Don Ghilios, who had established connections to the Exchange and other crime bases. When Vytto was ten, his father insulted the Don by refusing to repair his personal droids. Mr. Astolfi, the best mechanic in the village, was murdered by Ghilios's bodyguards. When word of his father's death reached Vytto, his older brother vowed revenge and ran off. The older brother, Polius, was found dead by a crashed landspeeder. Vytto's mother, Amelia, went to Don Ghilios's palace to beg for him to spare Vytto, saying he was all she had left. Ghilios refused, saying that he did not wish revenge to come and haunt him. Ghilios chuckled at her plea, also announcing his belief that "all humans are expendable. A human death on this planet won't phase anybody." Amelia pulled a vibroblade on Ghilios, but he was too quick for her. The Quarren broke her wrist, and had Amelia executed. Vytto saw this, and ran away. Thugs fired at him but could not catch the boy. Vytto escaped off-world in a public transport bound for Nar Shaddaa. There, Vytto changed his name to Vytto Korlioan and learned the ways of organized crime.
