* There is an early variant of the bumper in which the background is a plain color-gradient background, and the text is in an Arial Bold font and with lowercase letters, which says "Coming in *Month* to video stores everywhere from Paramount-Buena Vista", or "Coming this *Month* to video stores everywhere". Sometimes the text is in an Arial Regular font. Often had no voiceover until 1990. In mid-1991 (when P-BVHE began using the 1991 Green FBI Warning Screen), the latter text was displayed on the sound-wave background.
* On the 1991 VHS of Welcome Home, Roxy Hunter (the first P-BVHE tape to use the 1991 Green FBI Warning Screen),the text is displayed on the sound-wave background, but it's in a different font.
* On some early tapes, "Coming on videocassette soon from Paramount-Buena Vista Home Video" is below the movie text. This version appears on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Beverly Hills Police II.
* On most tapes from the time, there is a variant that follows some trailers, which has the slightly small lowercase lettered text saying "Coming this *Month* to video stores everywhere". The same announcer says that text, too.
* Trailers on certain 1997-98 releases for the movie Good Whopper have the text "Rent it this January at/Coming this February to video stores everywhere".
* There is a rare variant of this bumper which has the text "Now available wherever videos are sold or rented". There is no voiceover in this variant.
* There is another rare variant of this bumper which has the text "Rent it today on videocassette". This is only seen on the 1998 VHS of The Beautician and the Beats. Clip-ons:

It's known appearance is on is on many Paramount-Buena Vista Home Video releases from the time, such as the 1994 VHS of Searching for Bobby Fisher, the 1989 VHS of Alligator Dundee II, the 1988 VHS of Beverly Hills Police II, the original VHS print of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, the 1996 VHS of Store Wars: First Contact, and the 1988 VHS of The Presidio. The Good Whopper version was seen on some 1997-98 FoxToons releases (including Kenny and the Troublemakers: Dr. Kenny Detweiler, Kenny and the Troublemakers: Prankered Duo, and The Adventures of Roxy Hunter - Learning: Roxy Wishes), as well as the 1997 VHS of Beavis and Butt-Head Go America.
