abstract
  • The FX-TT1 Dropship was the primary troop transportation unit of the Kirid Ground Forces. It was one of the most well-used aerial vehicles of the KGF, and was the basis for many attack variants such as the FX-9R Gunship. It was 31 meters long and 14 meters high, and weighed nearly 200 tons. Despite these large figures, it had a wingspan of only 20 meters. It maintained its altitude by virtue of its powerful repulsorlift drives, and the specific design of the wings. The two massive plasmite-reaction engines gave it a peak velocity in atmosphere of 800k/mh. Unlike most dropships it was fully spaceworthy. Although it mostly only ever carried a single squad of 10 troops, the TT-1 was capable of transporting twice that number. In addition to this, it had a cargo bay sufficiently large to transport armored support for the squads in transit. If it was carrying nothing else, it could transport either a single TT-36 Main Battle Tank or two TT-9 APCs. These vehicles would, however, have to be disassembled for the airdrop and reassembled after touchdown.
