Krotz (Japanese: クロツ Romaji: kurotsu) is a character from the Slayers novel The Silver Beast. Krotz is the leader of the Cult of Shabranigdu. He is responsible for turning Duclis into chimera, and presumably responsible for the transformations of his other servants as well. Krotz's ultimate goal is the destruction of Saillune, and for this purpose he uses a stolen Claire Bible manuscript to create two sets of Zanaffar Armor. One of breastplates is worn by Grouj, who is kept asleep as he becomes increasingly unstable.

After Xelloss decapitates his second-in-command Balgumon and destroys the manuscript, Krotz panics and decides to awaken Grouj. This proves to be his undoing, as the armor transforms into a full-grown Zanaffar and consumes him for his knowledge.
