The Black Order are an antagonistic organization from the video-game, Legendary. The organization is led by LeFey. The Order split from the Council in ancient times due to a disagreement about how best to use Pandora's Box. They believed that the mere possession of the artifact gave them the divine right to use it as they see fit: however, what started as a minor schism soon erupted into all-out war between the two groups. They manage to build a doomsday weapon that can harness Animus Energy to control all the loose creatures and take over the world.

  • The Black Order (黒の教団, Kuro no kyōdan) is a religious organization that works to defeat the Millennium Earl and his army of Akuma. The official, universally recognized emblem of the Black Order is the Rose Cross (ローズクロス, Rōzu Kurosu). As a branch of the Catholic Church, the Black Order is commanded by The Vatican.
  • Several hundred years before the main story, an artifact known as "The Cube" was found by mankind. Inside were details, left behind by an ancient civilization, of a seven thousand year old war against the Millennium Earl. The Cube told of how the Earl was held at bay, and how future generations would be able to fight against the Earl when he returned to attempt to destroy the world again.
  • The Black Order is a secret paramilitary organization that has cells spread across the globe. They've clearly been around for a long time, waiting for the right opportunity to further their long-term goals. They obviously have access to high-tech equipment, seen by their Plasma Gates and Gunships. Currently, they are led by Ormand LeFey.

  • The Black Order is a secret paramilitary organization that has cells spread across the globe. They've clearly been around for a long time, waiting for the right opportunity to further their long-term goals. The Black Order split from the Council of 98 in the ancient past over how best to use the power of Pandora's Box. Members of the fledgling Order believed that mere possession of the artifact gave them the divine right to use it as they saw fit. As the centuries passed and the schism between the two organizations grew into a full-scale war, the Black Order expanded its philosophy to include the exploitation of all advanced knowledge, often taking the doctrine of "might makes right" to dangerous extremes. They obviously have access to high-tech equipment, seen by their Plasma Gates and Gunships. Currently, they are led by Ormand LeFey.

The Cube told of how the Earl was held at bay, and how future generations would be able to fight against the Earl when he returned to attempt to destroy the world again. When the Earl returned as the Cube said he would, a group known as the New World Alliance founded the Black Order and charged it with recovering the shards of Innocence to equip them to new Accommodators. One of the Black Order's founders was an illustrious sorcerer who was the founder of the Chang Clan, of which Bak Chang is the current head. So far, forty-one of the one hundred and nine pieces of Innocence have been collected, though this does not account for the pieces that were destroyed when Tyki Mikk began killing Exorcists.
