The Ford J-Car was a Hot Wheels casting designed by Harry Bradley, and was based on the the 1967 Ford GT40 Mark IV. The Ford J-Car debuted in the 1968 Basic Car line as part of the Original 16 castings. The tool was only used in the 1968 mainline and wasn't used in any other years. Every version of the car had a die-cast body, die-cast chassis, redline wheels and a bent-axle suspension.
