Judge Death, born Sidney De'ath, is an undead supervillain from the 2000 AD comic strip Judge Dredd and is the leader of the Dark Judges - he is also in many ways what Dredd could of become if taken to the most extreme as he too is a merciless enforcer of law, however his version of the law is at odds with that of Dredd's world and thus makes him one of Dredd's many enemies - due to his popularity however Judge Death has taken on more than just Judge Dredd and was the antagonist of a Judge Dredd / Batman crossover as well as other tales that range from dark and sinister to downright comedic.

  • Judge Death is a fictional character of the Judge Dredd universe recounted in the UK comic 2000 AD. He is the leader of the Dark Judges, a sinister group of undead law enforcers from the alternate dimension of Deadworld, where all life has been declared a crime since only the living commit crimes. After years of appearing in Judge Dredd stories, he later got his own series in the Judge Dredd Megazine and in 2000 AD.
  • Judge Death's main means of attack is his "death touch", an ability inherent to his corporeal form that allows him to cut through human flesh with ease to deliver fatal injuries. His proper bodies are always made from fresh corpses, with their rate of decay accelerated by mysterious chemicals called only "dead fluids". In the past he has often employed the use of a dimension jumper and personal teleporter, stolen and reverse engineered from travelling aliens and Mega City One's Tek Division respectively.
  • Originally from a parallel earth, he joined the judges of his world so that he could kill people legally. His extreme measures in dealing justice earned him the nickname "Judge Death". After meeting the Sisters of Death, Phobia and Nausia, he and three other judges were transformed into the Dark Judges with uniforms that reflect their personalities. This is to carry out his vision for his world - the destruction of all life. He reasoned that since crime was committed only by the living, all life is a crime. They destroyed all life on their world with the help of the still living judges before they themselves were killed by the Dark Judges.
  • Judge Death was a Judge from an alternate dimension where all life was a crime. He first appeared in Mega-City One when he killed Tiny the Tap and was sighted by the judges when he began massacring clubgoers at The Rabbit Hutch. After Dredd burnt his body with incendiary, his spirit escaped, only to be reached by Judge Anderson so that Dredd could interrogate him. He later visited Anderson to possess her body in order to restore his skeletal remains. Anderson managed to send a message to Dredd to trap Death in her body, encased in a cocoon of [[Boing]].
