Dauth was a city southwest of Alagaësia in the western part of Surda. In Eldest, the villagers of Carvahall stopped here before proceeding up the Jiet River to assist the Varden in the Battle of The Burning Plains. Katrina considered going there after her child was born, but she and Roran decided that she would go to Aberon instead. It was governed by Lady Alarice and under her rule many notable craftsmen of the Wandering Tribes made their homes there.
