| - The Nereid is a naval Myth Unit in Age of Mythology: The Titans. It is available at the Dock in the Heroic Age for Atlanteans worshipping Hyperion.
- Nereids were a race of aquatic fey related to the tritons. Like the nymphs who lived in the coves and streams, the dryads who lived in the trees, and the oreads who dwelt in the mountains, nereids were fey who were bound to the seas and oceans. They physically resembled tritons except that their bodies displaced light, making them nearly transparent and hard to see, especially when they were in the water.
- Claudia Landry was in love with a Merman named Jeran, who was a prince among his people. He gave her a magic necklace that allowed her to live with him beneath the seas. It was not all happiness though: clan wars, human (and superhuman) encroachment, ancient magical creatures and even the gods themselves threatened their way of life. Claudia became a skilled warrior in her own right, and the pair of them fought together against all comers. Their exploits even came to the attention of the surface world, including some super hero teams that have tried to recruit them.

- A Nereid is an enemy monster that lives in water found in 2300 A.D. in Chrono Trigger.
- Aquatic monsters known as “daughters of the sea.” They're a kind of sea-loving succubus that inhabits the ocean. Women who drown in the ocean and have their bodies completely violated by the magical power of the sea god Poseidon are changed into nereids. Normally they are calm like the sea, and free-spirited, but when they have sex with a man they go wild like a stormy sea and indulge in the pleasure.
- Gender: FemaleRace: Water elementalLike all other elementals, she heals when the prevailing magic in the environment fits with her own. Intuitively, that would be water. She is, surprisingly enough, not the best caster in terms of raw power, but with water magic, that's actually not all that relevant once it gets beyond a certain point. She comes with a mellow ring, which gives you a +32 to status and fire defenses, and immunity to cold defense. (the upside is also that this is an accessory, which means it frees up your other equipment slots)
- Image:SummonIconNereid.gif Nereid is a Summon sequence of the Mercury element. When two Djinn of the Mercury Element are on standby, the Nereid Summon sequence can be activated. It resembles a purple-haired girl, in Japanese clothing and holding fans, arrive riding a giant tortoise and summoning an enormous water spout to engulf the enemy party.
