'5 Seconds of Summer (commonly abbreviated as 5SOS) is an Australian rock band. Formed in 2011 the band consists of Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Michael Clifford, and Ashton Irwin. The band was originally YouTube celebrities, posting music covers on the account hemmo1996, they quickly rose to international fame when One Direction invited them to tour on their Where We Are Tour. In February 2014, they released "She Looks So Perfect" as their debut worldwide release. It topped the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin played their first gig to about 20 people at rock institution the Annandale Hotel in December - but crashed ticketing servers when they announced a tour in May. Like Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson, they got noticed online for their covers, starting off with top 40 hits by Chris Brown and Ed Sheeran and throwing in tunes by their favourite punk pop outfits including Blink 182. As some of you know, they didn’t just start off as a band including the 4 of them. Originally, Luke began singing covers on Youtube. He got very popular quickly and the next thing you know Calum and Michael joined Luke and formed 5 Seconds of Summer. A few months after Ashton joined in as well and now we have the lovely band 5 Seconds of Summer! Luke Hemmings in currently dating Aliesha Mcdonalad and Ahston is dating Jazzy, whilest michael and calum are both single! but Calum is secrectly dating Zoee Cranney! sshhhhhhh, doont tell anyone ;)
