  • Delta-40, also known as Danson, was a defective Delta-ARC Major created secretly by the Kaminoan: Taun We. At the behest of Delta-3530 Gohan, Taun We saved one Delta-ARC clone, who was not to be trained by Jango Fett, and had him stored in stasis, fully grown for the duration of the Clone Wars, however, without any ARC training. He was later taken out of stasis when she heard that Alpha-12 was returning back to Kamino to pick up a new batch of clones to resupply his depleted 227th Clone Battalion. Taun We then handed Danson—a name that Delta-3530 provided for Delta-40—over to Science Officer Percy Beta-266 and provided a cover story to Percy that Danson Delta-40 was the lone survivor of a failed batch of soldiers, which was hurriedly created in hopes of helping win the war against the CIS. Taun We ordered Percy that Delta-40 was on a secret mission from Delta-3530, and that he was not to tell anyone, not even Chancellor Palpatine, of Danson's origins or his mission. Percy followed Taun We's orders, and did not reveal Danson's origins to anyone, not even Alpha-12. The fact that Danson was a Delta-ARC appeared to explain his independent personality. However, without his ARC training, he developed a compassionate, timid, curious, shallow, pacifist personality, which annoyed his superior Alpha-12, and namely everyone in the 227th and around him, as Danson lacked the aggressive nature and noble aspects that made up a clone trooper: which was too fight battle after battle without question in the name of the Republic. However, there are a few others who have shown to be quite tolerable for Danson's shallow behavior, only to a limited degree. A notable example of Danson's curious, shallow personality was when he expressed his fascination and likeness to the rain and weather on Kamino, noting several similarities to himself, and questioned whether if his purpose in life was more than being a solider for the Republic. Despite his disability and zero-training for solider, Danson's rank was that of a major, making him one of the senior ranking officers in the 227th Battalion. His superior officer was Alpha-12. His closest friend was Major Bhiff Gamma-09, with Sergeant Percy-266 as the 227th's science officer and advisor. Unbeknowest to many of them, Delta-3530 assigned Aiden Alpha-312, Brock Gamma-309, Pierce Beta-379, and Darnell Beta-340 trained and loyal to Delta-3530, assigned to the 227th to watch over Danson and see to it that his mission was successful.
