Genarlow Wilson (born April 8, 1986) is an African-American convicted sex offender who has become a cause célèbre for opponents of current legislation in the US state of Georgia. He was convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004, and received a sentence of 11 years, of which 10 years are mandatory to be served in prison and 1 year is on probation. He also has to register as a sex offender. The Wilson case, Wilson v. State of Georgia, has attracted much publicity.
