Murat Yuce was a Turkish engineer who worked for the Turkish company "Bilintur" on a U.S. army base in Iraq. He was kidnapped in Iraq in early August 2004 along with his colleague Aytullah Gezmen, during the U.S. occupation of Iraq. A video of Yuce's execution by shooting at the hand of Iraqi militants was distributed on the Internet. Aytullah Gezmen was released a month later after he "repented" working for the Americans. Abu Ayyub al-Masri took responsibility in September 2006 for personally killing Yuce. Al-Masri was killed in 2010.
