In response to this murder, and kidnapping of two truck drivers (who were later freed after their company pulled out of Iraq), Turkey's truckers association announced that it would no longer deliver goods to U.S. forces in Iraq. However some Turkish companies still work in Iraq Abu Ayyub al-Masri took responsibility in September 2006 for personally killing Yuce. Al-Masri was killed in 2010.
