Dale "Barbie" Barbara is the older brother of Wendell Barbara. He served as a Captain in the Iraq War, and later worked as a short-order cook at Sweetbriar Rose in Chester's Mill, Maine. He is skilled in hand to hand combat and is a Green Beret, having trained with U.S. Special Forces.

Dale soon becomes the US government's choice to run Chester's Mill. This causes more tension between Dale, Big Jim, and Junior causing the two to frame Dale for the murders they commit. One of the 26 survivors of the Dome.
