  • Tsubasa contains various crossover characters from various Clamp series, including Cardcaptor Sakura, RG Veda and ×××HOLiC. It should be noted that, excluding the Dimensional Witch and related characters, none of these characters are the same characters from their original works, but new incarnations of the same ones. Noticeable names and faces show up including Miyuki of Miyuki-chan in Wonderland who appears in almost all the major worlds the group visits usually with a piece of toast in her mouth or another bread product.

The series' storyline follows a group of five adventures as they travel through the different dimensions. The story begins in the desert country of Clow where the one of the protagonists Syaoran, a devoted and kind archeologist who is unaware of his past, is continuing work of his late father of excavating the nearby ruins. His childhood friend Sakura, the kind and well-loved princess of the kingdom where Syaoran lives who holds an undeveloped magic, however is 'called' into the ruins and mysteriously has her memories scattered across the dimensions in the form of feathers and will die if they are not returned to her. To save her, Syaoran takes her to the Dimensional Witch where he meets two more of the series' protagonists who have arrived with similar wishes: Kurogane, a rough-mannered ninja, and Fay D. Flourite, a laid-back magician with a dark past. In order to journey across the dimensions, they receive a cheerful white creature named Mokona, the fifth of the group, from the Dimensional Witch Yūko Ichihara. On their journey across the dimensions to retrieve Sakura's feathers, they encounter several other characters as well as many characters that they have already encountered before in other dimensions. The series' antagonists who are directed Fei Wang Reed are deeply involved with all of the protagonists' pasts as well as the their current journey. __TOC__
