abstract
  • She was orphaned along with her five adoptive siblings, and along with her brother Gavin, is responsible for finding a home. According to Ginger's bio, she was a troubled child, but came out of her shell after she was adopted by Gloria Newson. She is forced to act as a mother for her younger siblings, and is having trouble in doing it. Initially, Ginger is unable to teach any toddler skills to Georgia and Garrett, because her relationship with them is not high enough. Having her socialize with the toddlers, doing things such as talking, playing, snuggling and kissing them, can raise the relationship to the necessary level, after which she will be able to teach them their toddler skills. The Prima Official Game Guide for Apartment Life claims that Ginger is the eldest Newson sibling, with only five days left until her age transition to Adult, and that she works at Level 1 in the part-time Medical career as a Nursing Home Attendant, implying that this was originally intended to be the case in game-play. However, in-game she is unemployed and on the first day of the teen life stage, making her the same age as Gavin. When the family is first moved onto a lot, Ginger will be 15 days away from becoming an adult. When viewing her character data in SimPE, it can be seen that Ginger doesn't have a gender preference at the start of the game. This is also the case of the rest of her siblings, and Isaiah Gavigan.
