Anne Marie got punished. She wasn't allowed to go to the carnival with her friends. Anne Marie became very angry. She glared angrily at Proteus and told him, "You're as evil as Mr. Carface!" And then she went up to her room in tears, where her two pet dogs, Charlie Barkin and Itchy, were standing at the foot of her bed, waiting for her.
