Suddenly he is greeted by Cologne, who tells him that the only way for Shampoo to love him again is to tell her that he loves him. He accepts this idea, and after getting Ukyo to tell him that she loves him, is confident that it will work. He proceeds to the Cat CafĂ©, where Cologne and Shampoo prepare. Once he gets there, he begins to get nervous and stall. When he finally comes to saying the words, it is overshadowed when Akane says "I love you" to him first, thanks in part to Mousse placing the brooch in an upright position. Ranma is glad to have won his love battle but ends up in hospital when he remarks on Akane's weight.
