The Race::1973 Labor Day 100 was an ASA National Tour event held at Track::Winchester Speedway on September 3, 1973. It was truly one of the most bizarre races in racing history, as all 14 cars were involved in a first lap collision. Only 11 cars were able to continue. Of those 11, it was John Vallo who wound up the victor. He took advantage when dominant race leader Jerry Mitchell blew a tire with just five laps to go and held off L.J. Lines for the victory. Eventual season champ Dave Sorg finished third.
