Donald Gray "Red" Laurence (born June 27, 1957 in Galt, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played 57 games in the National Hockey League for the Atlanta Flames and St. Louis Blues. He played junior hockey with the Peterborough Petes and the Kitchener Rangers from 1973 to 1977. The Atlanta Flames chose him 28th overall in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft while the Winnipeg Jets picked him 37th overall in the 1977 WHA Amateur Draft. Laurence opted to join the Flames. In the NHL Laurence played in 79 games and scored 15 goals and 22 assists.

abstract	Donald Gray "Red" Laurence (born June 27, 1957 in Galt, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played 57 games in the National Hockey League for the Atlanta Flames and St. Louis Blues. He played junior hockey with the Peterborough Petes and the Kitchener Rangers from 1973 to 1977. The Atlanta Flames chose him 28th overall in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft while the Winnipeg Jets picked him 37th overall in the 1977 WHA Amateur Draft. Laurence opted to join the Flames. Laurence turned pro in an injury-shortened season in 1977-78 with the Tulsa Oilers. The following season he played in 59 games for the Flames. In 1979 he was traded to the St. Louis Blues as part of the Garry Unger deal. He only played in 20 games for the Blues in 1979-80. Laurence spent the next four seasons putting up impressive numbers in the Central Hockey League but withour another callup to the Blues or to the New York Islanders with whom he signed in 1981. He switched his career to Europe in 1985. Laurence played seven good seasons in Switzerland, topping 50 goals twice. He retired in 1991. In the NHL Laurence played in 79 games and scored 15 goals and 22 assists.
