Brazilian Rosewood neck. Ordered on April 16, 1990. Customized special order by using his Signature Aurora's "Great White's" neck and bridge Evans E-1 Eliminators single-coil passive pickups with active preamp electronics. Rhythm E-1 was originally mounted in a humbucking frame using spacers to hold the single coil in position. The bridge single-coil routing was performed by Paul Reed Smith himself since PRS had no current single coil pickup models and routing templates available at the time. Alex requested a 3-way toggle selector switch in place of the standard push/pull 8-way rotary. Later in the "Roll The Bones Tour", the neck E-1 Eliminator pickup was replaced by an early 1990's Seymour Duncan Trembucker. This came from the former Signature Guitar Company's old supply stock.
