- King Richard is the older brother of Prince John and the real king in Disney's 1973 film Robin Hood. He spends most of his film away fighting a crusade. At the end, he has returned and sentenced John, the Sheriff and Hiss to hard labor in the Royal Rock Pile, and allows Robin Hood to marry Maid Marian. Then, he makes a joke with Friar Tuck about now having an outlaw for an in-law. He is voiced by Peter Ustinov, who also voiced John in both the original English version and in the German dub, though there, he doesn't dub Richard's voice.
