Stone grue is a type of monster in ADOM. Like all grues, they are construct demons with corrupting attacks. They are very tough and are able to pass through walls and doors; the latter means that unless the PC can somehow kill them off quickly (s)he has no means of stopping swarms of stone grues completely surrounding him/her, which can happen often in the Earth Temple. Outside of the temple stone grues are generally very rare, so are less likely to threaten the PC in swarms.

Loud gurgling sounds originate from the moving shadows, and the clicking of its nails on the floor can be heard as it moves. From its basic structure, it resembles a warthog, but no warthog is this big or this fearsome looking...

Like other creatures of stone, stone grues can be damaged quite effectively by either zapping a wand of digging or casting the Mystic Shovel spell at them. They are also susceptible to pick axes and Hammerhead.
