While major Christian and Nordic holidays are widely celebrated throughout Großgermania, the Constitution's clause regarding freedom of religion (contained in Article 53) prevents any religious holidays from being officially adopted by any governmental tier. Although it has never been officially recognized, a customary right is enjoyed by people of all faiths to be relieved of employment on religious holidays, excepting those people employed in certain 'essenial services'. The following chart lists the federal and provincial public holidays observed in Großgermania.
