In 2279, as commander of the IKS Vo'taq, K'lavut launched an unprovoked attack on the USS Gagarin, in orbit of Nuvidula IV. After boarding the Gagarin and attempting to take command, her commander, Gralev, initiated her ship's self-destruct sequence.
