Created on Kamino, he served the Galactic Republic throughout the Clone Wars, fighting the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Alpha-08 was the leader of Omicron Squad, a unit of ARC troopers in the Grand Army. Due to being the squad leader, he was nicknamed "King" by his comrades. King and his squad fought on many fronts during the conflict, and survived to see the birth of the Galactic Empire. They continued serving the Empire, and by 2 BBY, were stationed at the ore facility on Raxus Prime. There, the facility was infiltrated by Galen Marek, the secret apprentice of Darth Vader.
