James Frederick Boeke (born September 11, 1938 – died September 26, 2014) appeared twice on the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H; first as an Sergeant Chiaverini in the Season 9 episode "The Life You Save" (episode #20), and then as an MP in the Season 10 episode "Snappier Judgement". His most notable role was as a Klingon general in the blockbuster film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country in 1991.

He played college football at Heidelberg College and was drafted in the nineteen round of the 1960 NFL Draft.In the off-season, he worked as a physical education teacher. During his playing days in L.A., Boeke worked as a bodyguard for the Nelson family (of Ozzie and Harriet fame), and went on to work for Ricky Nelson. Following his playing days, Boeke utilized his Hollywood connections and appeared in bit parts in TV (MASH, Coach and many others) and movies (North Dallas Forty, Forrest Gump et al.) for many years.
