The Galactic Empire used the base to train clone members of the Army. The Navy also had ships and recruits there, but they mostly used their own base. The Army also housed a number of Imperial ground vehicles for the engineers to use. During the Galactic Civil War, the facility was attacked and heavily damaged by the Rebel Alliance. It was then repaired. After the Battle of Endor, the facility was used by the Imperial Remnant, and later the New Republic.
