A quantum torpedo uses the idea that electrons want to be at the lowest possible energy level aka lowest quantum. The quantum level of the ecectrons is raised to very high levels using antimatter reactions and when the torpedo detonates all of that energy transfers to the electrons in the target which subsequently collapse back to their lowest state causing catastrophic damage.
