| - Confronting the Faceless is a book that provides details on defensive magic and dark creatures as well as the methods that could be used to repel said dark creatures. During his first and only year as the teacher of that class, Professor Severus Snape used this book for his sixth year Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, forcing the class to read quietly from it after he bullied them for their work. Page two hundred and thirteen provided at least three paragraphs on the Cruciatus Curse, the first two of which were required reading in May of 1997 for the sixth years, who were rather subdued as they read due to an outburst made by Ron Weasley in defence of his friend Harry Potter’s explanation of the difference between a Ghost and an Inferius.
