What a Sunrider is, we can only speculate, but since they draw good maps, it is likely to have something to do with seeing things from the perspective of the sun. It may be that they either have some way of physically "riding" on sunbeams or some way of going on magic forays along the sunbeams to see the land from above. The Sunrunners of Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince and Dragon Star books may have been an inspiration for this idea, and also perhaps the character Nomi Sunrider from the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi prequel comics.
