Synopsis
| - Onboard the Guardians' ship, Peter Quill lies awake contemplating returning to earth and living a normal life, and his relationship with his father. Rocket attempts to wake him up to inform him of an emergency, and the ship is attacked by Spartax warships sent by J'son to find him. On planet Spartax, J'son is informed that the Guardians have been located and is asked if they should be captured or executed. On another planet, Gamora is pursued by Maxilin, who she'd though had been killed, and is captured after a brief fight.
On Knowhere, Flash expresses how awestruck he is to be in the presence of so many aliens, and Drax warns him to contain his excitement and present himself with an air of authority. A Crakili weapons merchant angrily shouts at Flash to leave and that they don't serve Symbiotes, to Flash's confusion, but Drax bribes the arms dealer into compliance. Drax informs Flash that he needs to update his arsenal, despite Flash's reluctant to part with his Multi-Gun. The arms dealer mocks Flash over his use of Earth technology and lack of knowledge about the symbiote's origins, but accepts the trade. The symbiote's appearance changes as Flash accepts the alien weaponry, and he and Drax leave the dealership only to immediately be ambushed, with Drax abducted.
Gamora wakes up onboard Maxilin's ship, and he informs her that he was hired by the Brotherhood of Bandoon. Peter regains consciousness in the royal palace of Spartax, where his father greets him and asks to civilly work out their differences. Peter angrily shouts down his father's attempts to justify his tyranny and refuses to accept his duties as prince. J'son coldly states that he will be tried according to Spartoi customs as an enemy of the empire, and that no-one will save him. Meanwhile, Captain Marvel exits her ship and flies into deep space.
