- The Space Police are an intergalactic organization of crime fighters created in 1989 to combat the budding empire of the Blacktron. Space Police is often separated into three generations: The Original Space Police, were created in 1989 to combat the Blacktron; The Second Generation of Space Police, featuring a massive upgrade or vehicles and uniforms to battle the Future Generation of Blacktron; and The Third Generation of Space Police, another extensive upgrade in 2009 with newer vehicles and technology to battle the Black Hole Gang, a crime group with extensive connections to the Blacktron.

- Space Police (宇宙警察 Uchū Keisatsu) is an alliance of several interstellar law enforcement organizations protecting the universe. Consisting of the Galactic Union Patrol which the Space Sheriffs herald from, Special Police Dekaranger and Signalman Police. The Space Police is led by the Space Police Director-General whose office bears a badge of the Galactic Union Patrol and a belt buckle similarly worn by SPD commanders, signifying an allied command structure between member organizations. Episode 27 of Space Sheriff Sharivan Lily mentions the Space Police headquarters on Planet Bird sending a report of an escapee from the Dark Jail prison asteroid of Madou. Gekisou Sentai Carranger episode 12 introduces Signalman Coburn as a Space Police from Planet Police. Special Police Dekaranger is often referred to as Space Police by Alienizer. In the crossover series of Gokaiger all Space Police related heroes are under one large organization.

V.Lann booby-traps the monotrain and delivers an ultimatum, the release of his men or the President dies. Bats, a Space Police officer on the train, discovers the bomb and defuses it. V.Lann has then destroys a rail bridge ahead of the monotrain. The engine accelerates and only in the nick of time is the engine destroyed and the train halted at the edge of the shattered bridge.
