The Speed Force is a roughly described extra dimensional force from which most super speed-powered heroes, such as the multiple heroes named the Flash (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen), Johnny Quick, Jesse Quick/Liberty Belle, XS, the Tornado Twins, and Max Mercury draw their powers. This enables them to run with blinding speed. Unlike, Quicksilver of Marvel comics (Who can run, breathe, see, while running)The speed force allows the "runner" to see, hear, breathe, and not be burned by the air friction caused by running at those speeds. The Speed Force also allows the heroes to use some other skills unique to the force.
