Abbas Qais (pronounced AH-bahss Kayss) is the maternal grandfather of Pasco, Halmaedy and their other three sisters and father of Zahra Acalon and Isman Qais. He was a famous Harrier in his time and still lives at his daughter's household and helps her with teaching the future guardsmen and -women of their family in the autumn of 1039 KF.
