The EP was not officially promoted and received little attention at the time of release. All but one of the album's tracks are parodies of earlier Moon Man songs (or a skit). The Cigstrb tracks were discovered by a technician in a Nevada studio frequented by Moon Man. Moon Man claims to have no memory of recording the tracks. In October of 2016, he explained to an interviewer, "I guess February was a pretty busy month for me. I was recording like eight albums at the same time and still spitting out singles like a motherfucking factory. Plus I was doing more than my fair share of coca cola, if I recall. What the fuck does Cigstrb mean, anyway? That's fucking retarded."
