A holochip was used to holographically store data.
Holochips were a type of data storage device in use during 2018. They could store images and project them in 3D images via reflecting light at different angles, giving the appearance of a hologram, hence the name. They could store huge amounts of data at a extremely good rate of speed, and were fairly durable. These qualities resulted in it being a preferred data store for cyborgs' combat data (stored in their left hands), as well as for VR data recorded for UGs. They came in three sizes: small, medium and large.
