The construction of the puppets was revolutionised for the Thunderbirds team by the development of bondaglass, a fibreglass cloth and polyester resin, similar to that used to make custom car bodies. Heads are first made in plasticine, then moulded in glass fibre. Moving lips and eyes are added and then the crowning glory - the hair in the latest styles. Each main character has up to five heads with different expressions to suit the mood. The rest of the puppet is made in a plastic and is in the perfect proportion of one third human stature with the hands and feet to suit the fitting. Any character can be made up from these interchangeable components. Each dressed puppet cost between 250 and 300 pounds.

- Puppets is the series premiere of Slaughter Squadron. In this episode, five villains wake up together imprisoned in a high-tech facility and must learn how to work together and put aside their bad traits in order to escape.
- Puppets is an Occupation normally listed under Other Crew. If the credits directly indicate it, then it might also be listed under Art Department or Special Effects.
- Note:Gabriel Does Wear A Green Striped Shirt
- Puppets are a running gag in Invader Zim.
- Oddly, at one point, puppets (smuppets) with colors resembling each of the B1 kids' respective text colors can be found in Dave's microwave. This occurs in close proximity to a series of Saw references, which are perhaps related to a certain cherub, and also in proximity to a series of frog references, which may have something to do with the fate of a certain frog.

This occurs in close proximity to a series of Saw references, which are perhaps related to a certain cherub, and also in proximity to a series of frog references, which may have something to do with the fate of a certain frog. Jade Harley also owns several puppets of two different varieties, Squiddles and Manthro chaps. The Squiddles are plush versions of characters from the television show of the same name. They contain powerful electromagnets inside that spontaneously activate to make them Tanglebuddies. The Mantro chaps are stuffed animal/human hybrids. Each chap comes with formal attire, a vaccination kit and a dishwasher-safe slop trough.
